Q: Is my spouse entitled to work in Australia on my working visa?

A: Yes, you will be sponsored on the subclass 457 visa, which means your spouse can work and does not require a separate sponsor.


Q: Which family members are entitled to travel on the visa with me?

A: You can only bring direct family members e.g. spouse and dependent children.


Q: How long does the process take from start to finish?

A: Six (6) months generally, if you do not already have Registration in Australia. If you are already registered as a nurse in Australia, it will be a shorter time.


Q: When can I apply for Permanent Residency (PR)?

A:  One year from the time you arrive and start to work as a RN in Australia. PR takes approximately between 6 and 12 months.


Q: Is there an age restriction for nurses?

A: No, there is no age restriction.


Q: Can I transfer my Australian Nursing Registration between states?

A: Yes, and we will do it for you.


Q: I have school-going children. When does the Australian School year run? Will I have to pay fees?

A: School starts in February to December.  You will not have to pay school fees.
